Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective warehouse strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure smooth operations and maximize productivity.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatching of fertilizers, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and maintain accurate records of fertilizer stock.
- Coordinate with suppliers, farmers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of fertilizer orders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards for fertilizer storage, handling, and transportation.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the warehouse team.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and product damage.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the fertilizers.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) to preserve fertilizer quality.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing fertilizers, including quantities, batch numbers, and expiration dates.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to plan and forecast fertilizer needs based on market demands and sales projections.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- This position may be assigned in Albay's 3rd District
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Additional certifications or specialized training in warehouse management are a plus.
- Proven experience, 3 years in warehouse management, preferably in the agricultural or fertilizer industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for fertilizer storage and handling.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management purposes.
- Possession of a valid driver's license for operating a car or other suitable vehicle.
- Certification or experience in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
